Life is a balance. A balance between performing at your best and enjoying the journey. Yes, presenting your best self to the world is critical to a life well lived. Yet, joy matters too. There is no point in getting to the top of your mountain and realizing that you missed out on the journey.

Taking time off and rejuvenating keeps you fresh. A long lunch with a friend inspires you. Going to the zoo with a kid changes your perspective. Sitting quietly on the porch sipping a coffee lets you pull back from the noise. And they become moments that you’ll look back on.

Without breaks your well quickly runs dry. Your energy dwindles. Your dreams are no longer as inspiring. Cycling back and forth between regeneration and work keeps you energized and fresh. (Of course, you know that you can spend too much time in rejuvenation. It’s a balance.)

Do you know what charges your batteries? Is it being in nature? Is it travel? Is it time with friends and family? Whatever it is, make time for it this summer.

Rejuvenation Tips:

Stop Doing Something
One way to open up to rejuvenation is to stop doing things that aren’t working. Finish a project, clean out your files, hire a kid to mow your lawn. Once you remove the things you are tolerating you have more time for simple joy.

Time with Friends
It doesn’t have to be structured and you don’t have to talk about anything important (or anything at all). Just do something you enjoy doing together.

Go For a Walk
Walk through your neighborhood with no goal. Notice the sights and smells. Walk slowly.

Give Yourself a Day Off
Allow yourself to totally let go of work. Forget about errands or to-dos for a day.

Explore
Go on a road trip. Check out a new city. Try a different restaurant. Anything new and different will invigorate you.

I read the following success story in a forum and it was quite inspiring!

Hello All,

After a long, long time of lurking around, downloading every single solitary Ebook, Audio Series, Software Fad, and Quick fix under the sun I decided to clean out my Hard Drive. This bullshit literally took over my life, I spent my days reading all of those crappy ebooks (granted a few were good) and my regular business was affected a great deal by this. After a long battle with information overload I deleted all of that bullshit, and I kept only what I felt I should focus on. After deleting 90% of what I accumulated I finally started to learn and make some real money.

Like many others, I was one to check out a method, try it for like 3 days, and say f*ck it an move on to the next “awesome” and “fool proof” method out there. This lasted for my first 4 months of trying the Internet Marketing game. I then started to realize that it was all pretty simple really…I stopped taking short cuts, I stopped using automated content, I stopped chasing that crazy automated millionaire pipe dream and I actually did some work. I hired a graphic artist, a part time article writer, and I more or less directed them as to what I wanted to accomplish. Instead of spending 20 hours wasting my time in generating regurgitated content, I paid a few dollars and got some real content created. I then stopped wasting my time in trying to be the Jack of all trades, swallowed my pride and let the graphic artist do some of my work for me.

Granted, this took a few dollars to accomplish, but in the end I feel that all of the time I wasted on “fad” methods cost me far more… Now I find myself in the black…I am actually making some real money here. I made my first 3000.00 in Internet Marketing over the last month…to some this may seem like very little, but to me this is a friggin’ giant step.

Let me first say that I friggin love this forum more than any other place on the Internet… next I will say that I am proud that I have spent less time here in researching new methods, and sticking to the methods that I knew existed all along. I think through all of these first 6 months I have learned that as an Internet Marketer it is indeed wise to work smarter and not harder… but the keyword there is WORK. There will always be some work involved…I know a lot of you guys must be making a killing on the automated methods I have been bashing, but for me, I am going for the long term results, results I can bank on 6 months, 1 year or even further into the future.

Some of the tools and scripts I have “gotten” and purchased have been life savers for me. Some of the tasks I used to do with Pure White hat methods are now taking me 1/10 ‘th of the time. These tools, Article Post Robot, DigiXmas Products, Wordflood, and many others have saved me countless hours and are worth their weight in gold. I hope this serves as encouragement to some of the members here. I felt like quitting like 5000 times when I realized I had just thrown cash and time into a method that simply wasn’t my cup of tea. Again, it was at this point that I rewinded, and went back to the basics, Thorough Keyword Research, Article Marketing, Web 2.0 Marketing (Authority BlackBook), Article Marketing (Using a cool method I developed - uses 5-6 tools), and most importantly quality content! I pay top dollar for an established English speaking writer to write all of my articles for me, but it pays. I have gotten so many more clicks in the resource boxes of my articles in the past 3 months, then I ever did with all of the other junk I did in total in my first 3 months.

Anyway, thanks for listening to my rant and I truly hope it helps someone, somewhere get through the bullshit and find their way in this crazy game. All of the members here are awesome, and I have received so much help and support from all of you guys and gals. I truly hope my success continues, and I feel that this is only the beginning. If anyone would like to know what I kept from my pile of useless ebooks and tools feel free to ask either here or via PM. I swear I must have spent 1000 hours reading through all of those books… ugh.

To Everyones Success,
Jeff

I just saw a video which has opened my eyes about the internet traffic concepts. It actually re-told my ideas that I had in mind some time back. You can watch the video here, This is about a concept called owning more of the internet.

Let me ask you a question… why do people use the internet? Majority of the time, they don’t use it to buy products, they don’t use it to chat, they don’t use it for email. You got the answer already? They use it to find CONTENT! Google has always said, Content is the king, and it will remain true as long as the internet is alive. Doing PPC, optimizing a sales page for SEO and other marketing tactics are just ‘tricks’ for making quick money. There is a good chance that these business models will fail in the next 5-10 years. But if you generate content, people will read it, becuase that’s why they browse the internet. It is a kind of give and take policy, you give the content first and then direct the user to a relavent product. Thats the only way its gonna work in the long run.

The more of the content you create, the more value you give out. It’s google’s responsibility to help people find the content. If Google did not place your page for the relevant search, google has to and will improve. But its not your job to place your content on the top 10.

So, just keep on creating more content, some pages will really rank high and you will end up having a lot of traffic! If you cannot create content yourself, pay people to do it for you. If you cannot pay people to do it for you, do something where people will be motivated to write content for you. User generated content includes forums, discussion groups etc.

I hope this post was useful! Good luck with your online business and projects.

Right now I am typing this with Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. I have been working on computers for the past several years but I wonder why it took so much time for me to buy this piece of cake. Oh, how can I express myself, word are not enough. It is so comfortable that I can keep typing on this all day long. Whether it is a chat conversation, or writing a review like this, whatever, Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is the best input device in the world.

I see that this design has been in the market for nearly 4-5 years and nothing has changed much, that means that this keyboard can’t be improved much. Thats gives me a satisfaction that there will not be a better ergonomic keyboard in the market atleast for the next few years.

This traditional type of key input may not change atleast for the next 20 years. May be after that, to input we may not use any device except our brains (don’t laugh now, I know you would have laughed if someone told you that they can talk across oceans with a little electronic peice holding in ther palms, but now you are using mobile phones!

So thats it, bottom line is, go out and buy this keyoboard at any cost. Its worth it!

By yesterday night I finished reading this book And Then There Were None by the famous mystery writer Agatha Christie. I would say that this is the best novel I have ever read, not necessarily the best book. The book is cute, just 275 pages and can be finishe within 2-3 days. I shouldn’t take longer because no one wants to wait for the mystery to be unlocked.

The story is based on a murder plan for 10 people. These ten people are ‘bad people’ but have escaped the law. They come to an island and they get killed themselves by each other through the tactical plot. Who was the murderer and how all the deaths happened is a million dollar question which is answered only in the last 5 pages. Its hard to wait for that area of the book, but there is no choice but to wait all along as you read the story.

I bought this book because it was in the top 10 sold books of all time. This one claimed to be sold more than 100 million copies. From these stats I can come to a conclusion that there couldn’t be extraordinarily better novels than this, this is the threshold point for mystery novels. I guess books can never make it up to the grandeur for a cinema. Anyway, its still good for a 6 - 10 hours of time pass and relaxation.

I would rate this book as 7.5 / 10.
