Owning More of the Internet - The way to Success Online

Posted on July 14th, 2008 in Traffic Generation | No Comments »

I just saw a video which has opened my eyes about the internet traffic concepts. It actually re-told my ideas that I had in mind some time back. You can watch the video here, This is about a concept called owning more of the internet.

Let me ask you a question… why do people use the internet? Majority of the time, they don’t use it to buy products, they don’t use it to chat, they don’t use it for email. You got the answer already? They use it to find CONTENT! Google has always said, Content is the king, and it will remain true as long as the internet is alive. Doing PPC, optimizing a sales page for SEO and other marketing tactics are just ‘tricks’ for making quick money. There is a good chance that these business models will fail in the next 5-10 years. But if you generate content, people will read it, becuase that’s why they browse the internet. It is a kind of give and take policy, you give the content first and then direct the user to a relavent product. Thats the only way its gonna work in the long run.

The more of the content you create, the more value you give out. It’s google’s responsibility to help people find the content. If Google did not place your page for the relevant search, google has to and will improve. But its not your job to place your content on the top 10.

So, just keep on creating more content, some pages will really rank high and you will end up having a lot of traffic! If you cannot create content yourself, pay people to do it for you. If you cannot pay people to do it for you, do something where people will be motivated to write content for you. User generated content includes forums, discussion groups etc.

I hope this post was useful! Good luck with your online business and projects.

Video Marketing through Traffic Geyser

Posted on May 25th, 2008 in Traffic Generation | 1 Comment »

I just created an account at TrafficGeyser.com. It cost me $147 for 1 month subscription and I am allowed to upload 500 videos. Each Video will be submitted to 25+ YouTube like websites. Whats the catch? They say that when lot of such videos are posted in different sites, Google sees that as an important video and brings up in the top 10 SERPs for that keyword. I tried some low competition keywords (having results less than 10k when searched with quotes) and found that it works! I have not got any significant traffic or sales yet, but yes I hope that this thing is wonderful and can be used as a white hat traffic driving method.
